Update from Sean:
Guys,
Looks like our games this Saturday will be starting at 1pm. In addition to
Saturday, there are a couple of other opportunities to get out with the stick
this week.
- A few of us are still getting together on Monday evenings at St. Xavier High
School on North Bend Road for some informal practice. 6:00 til dark (roughly
7:15-7:30). Fields are to the left of the stadium.
- This Wednesday, we have a scrimmage set up with University of Dayton to get
ready for this weekend. We'll go at their practice time of 8 until about
9:30, and devote some extra time during for each team to work on man-up and man-down.
Directions: I-75 North to Edwin C. Moses
Boulevard exit; turn right off the exit; at first light, turn right onto Stewart(?); at 3rd(?) light
after bridge, turn right onto Brown Street/Erma Bombeck Way; Turn left onto Irving (Ben & Jerry's on corner); Turn left onto Evanston; the big,
well-lit field is on the right)
Thanks. Hope to see everybody out this week!

Update from Tom:
Well it was old time lacrosse once again this
weekend--featuring 60 minute middies and no subs!
Unfortunately the other teams had plenty of subs so we were a little outmatched.
Nashville, Cincinnati and
L'ville all beat us by margins of ~10, 8 and 3 respectively, but we had a lot of
fun and it was a great day for lax. FYI, Nashville won the
tourney--beating Cinci ~10-4.
I think our next tourney is home and scheduled for Sat. Oct 18, so please make
plans. We are trying to
set up our usual scrimmages with UD and Miami so stay tuned for that here.

Update from Sean:
Here's the rundown for the Louisville tournament this weekend:
Games times for the tournament this weekend will be 10:30am, 1pm, 3:30pm.
Since we are playing 3 games, I thought we would go with 15 minute running quarters, 2 timeouts per half. 30
second penalties will be 1 minute. 1 minute penalties will be 1.30 minutes.
There will be an after-party for teams after the games.
Directions- From Indy/Cinti take exit 2 (Zorn Ave) off I-71 and go right 1/4 mile to river
road (water tower). Take a left and go 1.2 miles and park is on your right. The Nugent Sand company entrance is the same turn for the park.
HOTEL (if anyone wants to):
Ramada Inn - Zorn Ave.
$52 group rate, ask for lacrosse group rate
Call hotel directly, 502-897-5101
From North - From I-71, take I-71 South To Exit
2.
Right At light. Hotel on right at end of ramp.
Some older stuff from Sean which I
was too lazy to post:
The Laxtoberfest tournament is still on for the weekend of October 18th
here in Cincinnati. The tournament in Louisville has been moved to
September 27th. I'm still working with UD on scheduling a game.
That gives us a couple weeks before the first games of Fall. For anyone who wants to get a little practice in, come to St. Xavier Monday nights
at 7:00 (the fields to the left of the new stadium) to toss, shoot, etc.
I'm happy to report that we have several new players with a wide range of experience planning to join us. Even better, most of them are the short
sticks that we often needed last spring (so that I don't have to do it!)
Finally, a reminder about the team helmet offer from Velocity Lacrosse
(754-2299); a C-pro helmet in team colors AT COST. And special thanks to
Greg Roth who is putting together some helmet decals for us.
